Hungry Bentley Barn Bed & Breakfast
Jane Boothroyd welcomes you to a luxury bed and breakfast experience in their newly converted home set in 4 acres of grassland with horses and stables. Hungry Bentley Barn is found in the medieval village of Hungry Bentley between Great Cubley and Alkmonton. Formally the stables of the coach horses to the neighbouring Bentley Hall.
Hungry Bentley Barn is ideally situated for walkers, cyclists (2 bikes available for hire) and horse riding (horse livery available on request) Routes for all from the barn including the Sustrans National Cycle Network, less than a mile away.
The barn has been recently converted, maintaining the rustic feel, with 3 large double ensuite rooms all with exposed oak beams & trusses, high ceilings and stone floors throughout.
The Chatsworth Room:
Has a four poster bed and stunning views over open countryside and the Weaver Hills. There is a roll top bath and shower in the ensuite.
The Kedleston Room:
Overlooks Bentley Hall and the courtyard, traditionally furnished with antiques. Again, a roll top bath and shower in the ensuite.
The Sudbury Room:
Although the smallest room it is still spacious, furnished with a rustic feel (views of Bentley Hall) - shower only in the ensuite.
General Information
Under floor heating throughout, with each room being individually thermostatically controlled.
Use of a large drawing room with grand piano and antiques.
Complimentary tea, coffee and homemade biscuits available at any time.
Includes full Derbyshire Breakfast served between 8am and 10am at a large dining table, breakfast ingredients are home made or locally produced where possible.
Like many establishments we do have a no smoking policy.
Rooms are available from 5pm onwards, earlier by prior arrangement.
